A museum and study center devoted to the Native cultures of North, Central, and South America. For all ages: hands-on activities, displays on both culture areas and themes, reference library, educational materials for classroom use, museum store. Current exhibits include Kachina dolls, Southwest jewelry and pottery, Plains Indians culture, Native Peoples of Illinois, Mexican Native American cultures, Children of Native America, and our new exhibit, With A Little Help From Our Friends: Gifts and Loans from Local Collectors(February 15-April 24, 2008, Opening reception 2/15/09 4:30-7:30)
